Taskonomy started at BrainGig — a delivery studio that lived the same pain most SMBs know: ClickUp or Asana for tasks, a separate timer, leave requests in WhatsApp, partner money in Google Sheets, and a biometric device that never synced to anything useful.
Enterprise HR suites were too heavy and too expensive. Pure PM tools were excellent at boards — and silent on attendance, agency splits, and the flat pricing growing teams actually need.
